Your Flying Scotsman Journey

Your reserved journey behind Flying Scotsman will take you from Swanage to Norden and back, passing through the historic station at Corfe Castle and beneath the dramatic ruins of Corfe Castle itself.

Please arrive at Swanage Station in good time before the departure shown on your ticket. Seats aboard the Flying Scotsman service are reserved, and passengers must travel on their booked departure.

Freedom of the Line

Your ticket also gives you the freedom to explore more of the Swanage Railway throughout the day.

Before or after your Flying Scotsman journey, you can travel on our additional steam-hauled service between Swanage, Corfe Castle and Norden.

Please note that seats on the additional steam service are not reserved and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

• Your Flying Scotsman journey is only valid on the departure time shown on your ticket.
• Reserved seats apply only to the Flying Scotsman service.
• Freedom of the Line travel is valid on participating Swanage Railway services operating that day.
• Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your booked departure.
• Late arrivals cannot be guaranteed travel on another Flying Scotsman service.
• Flying Scotsman and other locomotives are subject to availability and may be changed for operational reasons.
• Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
• Dogs are not permitted aboard the reserved Flying Scotsman service, except for registered assistance dogs.
• Pushchairs may need to be folded before boarding.
• Passengers requiring accessible accommodation should contact us before booking so that we can discuss their requirements.
