Swanage Railway is an award-winning railway carrying over 200,000 passengers a year, on its heritage services, making it one of the leading tourist attractions in Dorset.
Working as part of a team, you’ll join people who are passionate about delivering safe, reliable and punctual train services using our steam and diesel locomotives.
The Role
Signalling Team Leader
-
Maintain and manage the Railway’s signalling and telecoms systems in a safe condition in order to operate the Swanage Railway’s train services and to meet the Company’s responsibilities as Infrastructure Controller.

Encourage additional volunteer staff to undertake maintenance duties to signalling and telecommunications equipment across the railway.

Qualifications and training
-
Completed Electro-mechanical engineering apprentice
-
ship.
-
ONC or NVQ in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Diploma /Degree in Electromechanical engineering.
Knowledge, skills and experience
-
Experience of working with Volunteers
-
Experience of inspecting and maintaining electromechanical equipment.

Practical and skilled in inspecting, maintaining and repairing S&T equipment
-
Experience of computer-based tools including Microsoft office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and document control systems.

Knowledge of Computer based databases such as Microsoft Access.

Salary range 25-26k subject to skills and experience.

40 hour week (including flexible hours and days)
