Celebrate 200 years of Britain’s railway story with a special visit from the Railway 200 Exhibition Train, coming to Swanage Railway for three days this February. Join us for a half-term day out filled with steam, history, and discovery.
Stationed at Corfe Castle station, the exhibition offers a fascinating look at how Britain’s railways shaped travel, engineering, communities, and everyday life. Step aboard to explore interactive displays, historic stories, and hands-on exhibits suitable for all ages.
Entry to the exhibition train is included within your Swanage Railway travel ticket - simply hop on one of our services and make your way to Corfe Castle Station to enjoy it.
To help ease parking during the half-term break, we’ll also be running a Norden - Corfe Castle shuttle service, making it easier for families to start their day with us. Parking at Norden Purbeck Park car park is recommended.

You can:
Use our Diesel Shuttle Service from Norden to Corfe Castle for £3 per person. Norden offers plenty of parking and is recommended during the half-term break.
To help manage visitor numbers on the exhibition train, free access to the Inspiration Train is included with your ticket, but you’ll need to select a time slot in advance . (Please note this must be accompanided by a vaild Swanage Railway travel ticket.)
