Welcoming back Class 20, 20007 to the Mainline after an absence of 16 years, it partners Class 20, 20142 on "Purbeck Explorer 2" on the afternoon of Sunday 13th May returning from Corfe Castle to Kensington Olympia (departure time 15:25), calling at Basingstoke and Woking before terminating at Kensington Olympia. Please note Clapham Junction and Ealing Broadway are not being served.

Thursday 10th May will see a themed preview day in operation; "Type 3 Thursday" will feature "Hymek" D7017. Both will operate passenger services alongside a Swanage Railway resident steam locomotive which, subject to availability, is planned to be Battle of Britain Class 34053 "Sir Keith Park". 73133 and 73136 will also make an appearance later in the day working in multi in push-pull mode with the London Underground 4TC.

The main three day Diesel Gala from Friday 11th May to Sunday 13th May will see an intensive four train diesel service operate between Wareham, Norden Park & Ride, Corfe Castle, Harmans Cross and Swanage from 8am to midnight on Friday and Saturday, and 8am until 7pm on Sunday.
