The pictures were taken on Sunday, August 6, on the western side of Swanage engine shed and show welder Derrick Upshall of Southern Locomotives Ltd working in the firebox dressed in his protective orange boiler suit.
Derrick is based on the Avon Valley Railway at Bitton near Bath and worked on the restorations of Southern Locomotives Ltd's two Brighton-built ex-BR Standard Class 4 Tanks, No. 80078 of 1954 and No. 80104 of 1955.
Assisting Derrick is Southern Locomotives Ltd volunteer and Swanage Railway locomotive fireman Peter Frost, a founder member of the Swanage Railway in the early 1970s.
