Even more progress has been made on the Swanage Railway's new Victorian-style signal box at Swanage station. The original built in 1884 was demolished by BR in the autumn of 1967 after being closed in June, 1967. The brand new signal box is located between the station and the road bridge. See our previous news items for more details.

Here we see the exterior of the new signalbox being painted on Sunday 2nd July 2000.
