Visiting Class 73 electro-diesels No. 73 205 'Jeanette' (left)
and No. 73 136 'Perseverance' pass the historic ruins of Corfe Castle en route to Norden from Swanage
in May 2011.

The Swanage Railway's official photographer & press officer Andrew P.M. Wright has
supplied around 50 photos from the 2011 Swanage Railway Diesel Gala showing the two visiting
Class 73 electro-diesels featured in the new Swanage to Wareham cab ride DVD
(available from the Swanage Railway Shop and by mail order).

and No. 73 136 'Perseverance' approach Corfe Castle station in May 2011.

The Gatwick Express liveried Class 73 electro-diesel (in which the cab ride was filmed) is No. 73 205 'Jeanette' of 1966.
Coupled to the Gatwick Express liveried Class 73 electro-diesel was the green livered Class 73 electro-diesel No. 73 136 'Perseverance' of 1965.

Currently operated by GB Railfreight, both locos were built at the Vulcan Foundry in Newton-le-Willows near Manchester.
