Another milestone was reached in Purbeck on Sunday 1st August 2010 when
the first scheduled 6-coach trains ran on the Swanage Railway.
Swanage Railway supporter Mike Stollery,
has supplied four photos of departures of some of the first scheduled 6-coach trains from Swanage on Sunday 1st August 2010.

The 13:10 departing from

The first of the scheduled 6 coach Swanage Railway trains,
the 09:50 from Swanage to Norden via Herston Halt, Harman's Cross and Corfe Castle,
was hauled by ex-BR Standard class 4 No. 80104. Its timetable counterpart from Norden, the 09.50 from Norden to Swanage
via Corfe Castle, Harman's Cross and Herston Halt
was hauled by
by ex-Southern Railway Bulleid Pacific 4-6-2 "Battle of Britain" Class No. 34070 Manston.
Mike's photos show the 10:30 leaving Swanage hauled by LSWR 0-4-4T Class M7 No.53 (30053) and the 13:10 departing from
Swanage headed by No. 34070 Manston.
