Swanage Railway supporters Tom Bayford and Nathan Au have supplied some photos of services
over the weekend of 22nd & 23rd May during the Victorian Swanage event which was held
17th to 23rd May 2010.
Tom Bayford writes:
The week-long event featured a re-enactment of the first train at Swanage exaclty 125 years on, on Thursday 20th May, with
visiting Beattie Well Tank 30585 and LSWR M7 No. 53 (30053).

Visiting
Beattie Well Tank 30585 passes the historic ruins of Corfe Castle on 23rd May during the Swanage Railway's Victorian Swanage Event 17th - 23rd May 2010.

Unfortunately M7 No. 53 was not available as originally intended over the weekend and instead ex-BR Standard 4MT 80104 and
visiting Beattie Well Tank 30585 operated services for an all-steam green timetable.
The weather was exceptionally fine with not a cloud in the sky and in the glistening sun I saw the trains along the line around Corfe Castle.

The Beattie Well has two water tanks, one at the front between the frames and another at the rear under the bunker.
Aaron Hunt was filling up the tank before the return journey to Swanage on 22nd May.
