I attach photos taken today at the site of the Herston Carriage Shed.
My photos show the first batch of the 52 steel stanchions being erected for the retaining wall
to create the site for the 2 road carriage shed planned to be erected in 2011,
subject to availability of funds.

The stanchions were erected into very deep holes drilled with mechanical assistance, and then backfilled and packed with concrete
to form a sound foundation. The huge drill sections can be seen in the photo above.
My photos also show Eddystone heading the 16.30 Swanage - Norden service past the resited
Distant signal which was also moved today, 12th May 2010.
