Hugh Budden - Photograph copyright Hugh Budden The Swanage Railway is pleased to announce that as part of the 2010 Swanage Blues Festival to be held on 5th, 6th and 7th March, we will have a Blues Train again this year on Sunday 7th March.

The Blues Train on 7th March will be the 12.30 from Swanage return trip with Hugh Budden and Pete Harris performing on the train and buskers playing on Swanage station.

No charge other than a valid rail ticket is required for travel. Donation to the Blues Festival will be gratefully accepted.

5, 6, 7 MARCH 2010 FESTIVAL

* Free Admission to 40 gigs in 15 indoor venues
* Open Mic daily, Electric Jam Sessions, Buskers, Gospel Service
* Accommodation from £18 per person per night here
* Blues Steam Train Ride - 12.30 Sunday 7th March
* Buskers on Swanage station over the weekend
* No charge for the blues on the train or listening to buskers
* Donations to the Blues Festival will be gratefully appreciated

Here's the last Newsletter before the 10th Swanage Blues Festival this coming weekend.

FESTIVAL PROGRAMME

The Final Draft of the Festival Programme can be downloaded from www.swanagelife.com Various last minute changes have taken place, including:

Steve Darrington & Friends at the White Swan on Saturday will now be at 3pm and not 12.30pm as previously stated

Jack Blackman will be playing in the break for the Back Porch Band at Bar Se7en on Sunday, at approximately 2pm; and opening for John Crampton at the Grand Hotel on Sunday at approximately 3pm

Pete Harris & Hugh Budden will be appearing on Sunday on the 12.30pm steam train from Swanage Railway Station and back again till about 3pm. You can have a taste of Pete's electric playing at www.youtube.com/user/cadsalley#p/f/6/1YJkSDsx0Xo

Bar Se7en will have a range of local brews from the Purbeck Brewery

Crow's Nest Inn will have, in addition to their normal menu, a Blues Inspired Menu, including Homemade Seafood Jambalaya, Chilli Con Carne, Shredded BBQ Pork Ribs, and Roasted Ham Hock
