As a direct result of UK Railtours' Capital Christmas Express
hauled by Battle of Britain class Bulleid Pacific locomotive number 34067 'Tangmere' on Saturday 28th November 2009,
the Swanage Railway was able to operate a special Three Bulleids at Swanage event on the following day, Sunday 29th November,
involving the visiting locomotive.
As part of the Swanage Railway's Three Bulleids at Swanage event, 34067 'Tangmere' double-headed services with
classmate 34070 'Manston' and
operating alongside West Country class 34028 'Eddystone'.

Swanage Railway supporters Peter Milford and Tom Bayford have supplied a selection of photos giving the flavour of the event.
The event operated successfully despite inclement weather described by Peter Milford as,
"Quite appalling weather conditions - heavy rain, high winds, hail, sun - sometimes all together at the same time!"
