Elizabeth Sellen, the Swanage Railway Trust's Deputy Chairman, writes:

The Swanage Railway Trust's 2009 fundraising Prize Draw was drawn at Swanage Station, 1430 hrs Sunday 1st November 2009 by the Mayor of Swanage.

All winners have been, or are in the process of being, contacted by the Swanage Railway Trust's representatives.

The First Prize was £1,000 cash, and a range of runner up prizes were also awarded in addition to the £1,000 First Prize.

Congratulations go to Mr Ken Knowles of Bournemouth who won the First Prize.

Swanage Railway supporters have run an annual draw for many years to raise funds for the Swanage Railway Trust projects, and this year's draw was also in aid of a range of projects around the railway. Mick Hatton again acted as promoter after the success of last year's draw.

The Swanage Railway Trust thanks everyone for their support and says that thousands of pounds have been raised by the draw for SRT projects.

Following the popularity and success of the 2009 draw, there will be another draw held next year. Full details will be available in Spring 2010.
