Swanage Railway Santa Specials 2007 in operation on Sunday 16th December 2007.

Andrew P.M. Wright has supplied over 30 photos of this year's Santa Special services running on the Swanage Railway - all taken on Sunday, 16th December 2007

In Andrew's photos the GWR Pannier Tank No 7714 is seen hauling the Santa Special trains and BR Standard Tank No 80104 is hauling the Christmas lunch trains.

As well as services in operation on Sunday, Andrew's photos at Corfe Castle also show former BR signalman at Swanage and Corfe Castle from the late 1950s to 1967, Jimmy Hunt of Swanage pictured with his wife Heidi.

Jimmy predominantly worked Swanage but also Corfe Castle as well. They had popped into the station at Corfe Castle to watch one of the Santa Specials steam through.

One day, when Jimmy was on shift at Corfe Castle signal box, his wife Heidi forgot to give him his packed lunch before he left for work and she cycled from Swanage to Corfe Castle to deliver it to him!
