Thomas at Swanage station in October 2007.

Thomas delighted thousands of visitors when he visited the Swanage Railway for nine days of fun and frolics from Saturday 20th to Sunday 28th October, 2007.

The Thomas events are important for the Swanage Railway because they bring to life a favourite children's character which encourages children to become more interested in steam railways and perhaps become the heritage railway volunteers of the future.

Andrew P.M. Wright has supplied nearly 230 photos taken during Thomas's latest visit to the Swanage Railway between Saturday 20th and Sunday 28th October, 2007.

Andrew's photos feature Thomas along the 6-mile length of the Swanage Railway, and also show the Swanage Railway's Class 08 diesel shunter hauling brake van rides. Andrew's photos also include Bulgy the Bus and scenes around the railway during the visit.

As well as Thomas himself there was plenty of entertainment including brake van rides hauled by the Swanage Railway's Class 08 diesel shunter at Swanage station.
