Great Western Railway Pannier Tank
class 0-6-0 steam locomotive No. 7714, on loan from the Severn Valley Railway,
is seen arriving at Norden on the Swanage Railway on 4th September 2007
A nostalgic taste of the Great Western Railway on loan from the Severn Valley Railway, Pannier Tank
class 0-6-0 steam locomotive No. 7714, arrived on 4th September 2007 to visit the Swanage Railway for several weeks.
Andrew P.M. Wright has supplied 40 photos of No. 7714's arrival
on 4th September, including numerous photos of other locomotives in service on that day. The photos
include the Swanage Railway's Class 108 DMU built at Derby in 1960 and resident LSWR Drummond M7 0-4-4 tank No. 30053. To see these photos, please scroll down the page.

Great Western Railway Pannier Tank
class 0-6-0 steam locomotive No. 7714, on loan from the Severn Valley Railway,
at Harman's Cross on the Swanage Railway on 4th September 2007
Arriving at the Swanage Railway’s road/rail interchange at Norden on a road transporter, the Pannier
Tank was towed down to Swanage by mighty and powerful Class 47 diesel locomotive No. 47 635 built in 1964.
