The Swanage Railway is pleased to announce a joint ticket arrangement with Fairmile Classic Cruises, who operate the classic ex-World War II Fairmile 'B' craft Western Lady III.

Based in Swanage, Dorset, and operating from the Pier in Swanage, a stone's throw from Poole Harbour and 'Sunny' Bournemouth, the last remaining Fairmile 'B' in commercial service is now starting her new life near to where she served during the war.

Built by the Southampton Steam Joinery Company Ltd in 1941, Western Lady III entered military service in July 1942 as RML 497. She was posted for much of the war locally at Portland and since then has been operated as a passenger vessel in Torbay.

Western Lady III has toilet facilities and a Bar/Cafe on board and will be providing spectacular cruise trips along the Jurassic Coast several times every day except Tuesdays, and across to the Isle of Wight on Tuesdays only.

In conjunction with the Swanage Railway, these great value cruises offer a combined rail and boat ticket at very competitive rates - an ideal day out for the whole family.

Adult fares are £13.50 for the train plus coastal cruise and £20 for the train plus Isle of Wight trip, with concessionary fares for children, families and OAPs. (See below for full details).
