Weekend at the Swanage Railway on 24th and 25th March 2007
James Cox, Swanage Railway's Locomotive Carriage & Wagon Manager, notes that
Swanage Railway Company fitter, Graham Froud, repaired 6695 early on Sunday
morning so that it could work the Sunday service train schedule.
Graham, together with driver Phil Thrower, then prepared 1955 Brighton-built
ex-BR Standard Class 4 Tank No. 80104 for
service as he was the booked fireman for the Sunday brake van rides.
Such dedication on the part of our
Engineering Staff will often go unnoticed by visitors to the Swanage Railway, but is much appreciated by all
who work to make a visit to the Swanage Railway an enjoyable and memorable experience.
