Andrew P.M. Wright has sent us a comprehensive Photo Report of
LSWR 1897-designed M7 0-4-4 tank No. 30053 in action near Corfe Castle on a sunny weekend in October.
The locomotive, which was built at Nine Elms in 1905, is owned by Drummond Locomotives Ltd
and is normally resident on the Swanage Railway. However, from time to time the loco is also a popular visitor at other
Heritage Railways.
Andrew's photos were all taken on Saturday 11th October 2003, and show the Drummond M7 at its best
in the sunshine hauling a rake of Southern Railway coaches towards Harman's Cross.
