DAFFODILS WANTED
Ian Diffey, a member of "Waynes Gang", the Sunday lineside team, has appealed
to members and supporters of the Swanage Railway to donate daffodil bulbs for
for planting along the track.
Many members will be attending the AGM at Swanage on the 19th October, and this
will be an ideal opportunity to bring along donations. Ian writes:
Several years ago we collected daffodil bulbs at the AGM to plant along the
trackside between Swanage and Norden.
We are planning to plant some more bulbs this year, but before we can do
this we need the bulbs.
If you are coming to the AGM, or know some one who is, there will be a
large box outside the door in which you could put your donation, be it a
few bulbs or a package (available at a garden centre near you).
Wayne's Gang are planning to plant the bulbs on the Sunday after
the AGM. (For information on the Gang visit their website at http://www.geocities.com/waynesganguk/
by clicking here.
Your help would be appreciated so that the bank opposite Swanage Station
and elsewhere along to Norden can be alive with flowers next spring.
Thanking you in anticipation of lots of bulbs!

P.S. If you are able to donate some bulbs, would you please let me know
by email so that I bring a box of a suitable size
