NO TRESPASSING warning on Railtrack or Swanage Railway.
Trespassing could jeopardise the running of future trains to and from the national network.
Marshalls will be manning crossings along the line on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday.
Andrew P.M. Wright has sent us these pictures of the stopblock lift to
allow first sleeper train on to the Railtrack half mile on Monday 19th August 2002.
The photos show the stopblock being lifted at Motala to allow the delivery of
the first sleepers to the Railtrack half mile. The work was done while the
Swanage Railway had a possession of the Worgret to Furzebrook freight only line, and the
stopblock had to be put back before the possession was given up at the end of the day.
