Southern Catering Project Group (SCPG)

The Southern Catering Project Group (SCPG) was set up by a group of railway enthusiasts keen to preserve railway wagons before they become extinct or - even worse - get scrapped.

The Southern Catering Project Group (SCPG) Wagon website at www.scpg.org.uk here maintains a comprehensive list of wagons used on the Swanage Railway.

The objective of the SCPG is to acquire and restore wagons - particularly examples of more rare types.

The website provides a list of the wagons owned by the SCPG, together with a detailed file on each wagon. Also on the website are details of items of plant owned by the SCPG. An extract of the database with links is provided below.

The Vintage Carriages Trust

The Vintage Carriages Trust is a Charity Registered in England no 510776 and is Registered Museum No. 1202. It owns and operates the Museum of Rail Travel at Ingrow, near Keighley. The Vintage Carriages Trust Web Site is at www.vintagecarriagestrust.org here
