Swanage and Purbeck's Local Events 2013The Swanage Railway is pleased to be able to support Swanage and Purbeck's Local Events, where we are encouraging people to take the train from Swanage or Norden to ease the traffic on local roads. These events include the Swanage Carnival and Fireworks displays, when the Swanage Railway will provide additional evening services, Market Days, Jazz Festival etc. This list will be updated during the year, so if you have a local event you wish to promote in conjunction with the Swanage Railway then please contact us at the address below. 3rd Swanage & Purbeck Walking Festival here 10 - 12 May 2013 Swanage Railway Diesel Gala here 10 - 12 May 2013 Dorset Beer Festival at Corfe Castle here 25 May 2013, 12-5pm : PLOUGHMANS' LUNCHES & CREAM TEAS in HARMANS CROSS VILLAGE HALL. Adjacent to Harmans Cross Station: Bric-a-Brac, Cakes, Books, Plants, Silent Auction etc. Why not break your train journey from Norden, Corfe or Swanage to look for bargains, and have a delicious lunch or tea in the process! This is the annual fundraiser for Kairos Prison Ministry UK, which supports prisoners and their families. It is good value, in a beautiful new hall, and people come back year after year.
