The Swanage Railway Experiences are priced at
£400 for the All Day Experience and
£225 for the Taster Experience.
Taster Experience
Taster Experiences will run several times each day of their operation.
All Day Experience
The All Day Experience will be commence at Norden Station, with participants
arriving in time to catch the 10:30 departure to Corfe Castle. Norden has full Park and Ride
facilities and it is ia short walk from the car park to the station.
The morning will be spent learning about the steam locomotive and its operation.
The first part will take place in the classroom before participants are shown
around the locomotive, which will arrive at 12:30.
During the afternoon all participants will get the chance to both fire and drive
the locomotive, together with a goods brake van, on four return journeys between
Corfe Castle and Norden. Participants will leave the train at Norden at the end
of the Experience. Whilst not on the footplate participants can travel on the
brake van or visit the Signal Box.
At the conclusion of the Experience at around 16:00, participants will receive a Certificate of Achievement.
Refreshments will be provided, including a packed lunch.
The steam locomotives used for these experiences will be drawn from our stable of
working locomotives. When accepting booking for these experiences, the Swanage Railway
cannot guarantee that a particular locomotive will be used on any given day.

Important Note: If you are booking this as a surprise for somebody, please
supply an alternative name and contact address so that we do not inadvertently
spoil the surprise.
Terms and conditions:
Cancellations. Refunds can only be made if cancellations are notified at least 14
days before the date of travel and subject to the re-selling of the allotted seat. A
£10 admin charge will be made in respect of all cancellations changes or
exchanges.
