Are dogs allowed on the trains?

Dogs are welcome on board but must be kept on a lead and on the floor. The fare is £1 per single journey. There is no charge for assistance dogs. Dogs are not permitted in the Buffets, the Dining Trains, the Station Shop or on the Santa Specials (assistance dogs excepted).


Are there plenty of parking spaces?

Norden station - a dedicated 350 space car park and coach parking operated by Purbeck District Council (charges apply) Corfe Castle station - limited parking in the village - Charges apply Harmans Cross station - small car park, operated by local council (charges apply) Herston Halt - No Parking Swanage station - Victoria Avenue car park, 10 minutes walk from the station (charges apply). Coach drop off point adjacent to the station.


How long does the trip take?

A single journey is 25 minutes, a return journey is 1 hour, 10 minutes. Don't forget to make the most of your Freedom Ticket which gives you travel All Day Long.


Do we have to book tickets advance?

You don't have to but we do offer a discounts if you booked dated tickets online. You can book your tickets here


Is there a Senior Citizen fare?
