What better way to judge what is a great group travel destination than to try it out for yourself? Everyone to Dorset is offering what it believes is the Best Group Travel Prize to visitors at Excursions 2012 at Alexandra Palace. Visitors to the Visit Dorset stand will be able to leave their details to enter a prize draw. The lucky winners will be drawn on the Saturday afternoon with a prize of a group travel visit to Dorset for up to eight people. They will be provided with excellent accommodation, all meals and a choice of wonderful attractions to visit over three days. This is all free of charge. The Everyone to Dorset consortium can now offer excellent group travel opportunities in Bournemouth. Alongside the existing consortium members, we are now very pleased to welcome three new members who will make a major contribution to group travel visits in Bournemouth. The Bournemouth Area Hospitality Association (BAHA), Kingston Country Courtyard and Bournemouth CitySightseeing plus Bournemouth Pier is also one of our new members. The huge success of Everyone to Dorset in building awareness of Dorset as a great group travel destination is already attracting new members to the consortium. We are now pleased to announce that alongside the existing attractions, two more local tourism authorities have joined us for Excursions 2012 at Alexandra Palace. Visit Dorset and the Shaftesbury & District Tourism Association have joined the consortium to provide added geographic coverage and cover the whole of Dorset from a wider perspective. Poole Tourism is already involved in the consortium. As well as detailed knowledge of their local areas these tourist organisations will bring a wider knowledge of the group travel possibilities across the whole of Dorset. After the massive success of Excursions 2011, a group of Dorset tourist businesses - including the Swanage Railway - is already busy preparing for the show in 2012. Organised by Tourism South East and Group Travel Organiser Magazine, Excursions 2012 looks set to be the busiest yet with stand bookings already up by 22% on 2011 by the beginning of September. Excursions 2012 takes place at Alexandra Palace in London on 28th January 2012. Visitors to the show typically include sports and social clubs, coach and tour operators, youth groups, older people's groups and many more organisations that are looking for ideas for day trips and extended visits around the UK.
