Swanage Railway station & on-train buffets

There are two station buffets on the Swanage Railway - one at Swanage and another at Norden - and some trains also include a buffet service.

Our station buffets offer tea, coffee, soft drinks, home-made cakes and snacks and a range of light meals.

Bird's Nest Buffet at Swanage station

The Bird's Nest on Platform 1 at Swanage Station is open 364 days a year offering teas, coffees, light lunches, cream teas, home-made cakes and much more in an authentic railway buffet car. Alternatively you can use one of our outside tables for great views of the trains arriving at Swanage station.

Group booking are also available for the Bird's Nest. Coaches should be booked in advance on 01929 475216.

Norden Nest Buffet at Norden station

The Norden Nest buffet is open on most train operating days. The Norden Nest provides a range of teas, coffees, soft drinks and cakes.

On-Train Buffet

A buffet service is available on some of our service trains offering tea, coffee, soft drinks, home-made cakes and snacks. Some trains also provide a bar service.
